Smoked Ahi Chowder

A thick chowder made from 2% milk? The secret is the smoked Ahi. Ahi jerky is great, but hard to eat, it is so hard, but what if you blend it into powdery strings?

4 cups 2% milk
1 bunch chives, chopped coarsely
1 cup blended smoked Ahi
1 Large steakhouse style russet potato, 2 if they are small, chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 spicy pepper, (I used a black chili pepper)

Put everything in a sauce pan, cook for 1.5 hours on your lowest burner setting. Stir from time to time. I served it with roasted corn on the side.
